October 2019 Jewish Book Carnival

I'm so glad to be hosting the October 2019 Jewish Book Carnival! The carnival, which appears monthly, brings together an assortment of information on books with Jewish themes.

Here are this month's selections:

The Book of Life Podcast recorded a Live Show in LA at the Association of Jewish Libraries conference this June. Guests included Joni Sussman of Kar-Ben Publishing and author/illustrator/musician Barney Saltzberg. The topic of discussion was picture book illustration.

On her website, Melissa Stoller interviewed Ann D. Koffsky about Ann’s new picture book, Creation Colors

Julie Zuckerman is this month's guest on Gila Green's blog in which Julie discusses her choice of a male protagonist.

Talia Carner discusses her creative writing process on the Jewish Book Council website.

On her My Machberet blog, Erika Dreifus routinely compiles news of Jewish literary interest. Here's one recent post.

Reuven Chaim Klein just published a review of the book The Emperor and the Jews.

And I recently interviewed author Marlena Maduro Baraf about her new memoir, At the Narrow Waist of the World.

Thanks to everyone who contributed!
