Lori Wilde is the author of the new novel The Wedding at Moonglow Bay. Her many other books include The Moonglow Sisters. She is also a registered nurse and a yoga instructor, and she lives in Texas.
Q: This is your fourth Moonglow Bay novel--how would you describe the relationship between The Wedding at Moonglow Bay and the three previous books?
A: The town itself is the link and characters from the first three books make appearances in this one.
Q: What inspired the plot of The Wedding at Moonglow Bay, and how did you create your characters Samantha, Nick, Luca, and Piper?
A: I was intrigued by the idea of having someone you loved but who you presumed was dead, returning on the day you were about to marry a new love. How would you feel? What would happen? To complicate things, I decided to make Nick and Luca brothers.
Q: How would you describe the relationship between the Ginelli brothers?
A: They love each other but are competitive. Family is important to both men.
Q: What do you think the book says about the idea of a "lightning strike" type of romance?
A: Infatuation and obsession are not love.
Q: What are you working on now?
A: I’m working on a brand new women’s fiction series called Hobby Island that I’m describing as White Lotus meets Ted Lasso with arts and crafts.
Q: Anything else we should know?
A: Consider joining my FB group, Lori Wilde’s Wildings. We have lots of book giveaways and have a fun reading community.
