Irving Brown is the author of the new memoir From Rags to Riches: The Story of a Jewish Orphan's Journey to Success. He is an entrepreneur and philanthropist.
Q: Why did you decide to write this memoir?
A: So that other people can learn from me.
Q: Did you need to do much research to write the book, or did most of it
come from your memories?
A: All of the content came from my memories. It's the story of my life.
Q: How was the book's title chosen, and what does it signify for you?
A: The title is because of my religion and my story.
Q: What do you hope people take away from your story?
A: I'd like to think that people have a positive takeaway, how despite obstacles and challenges that we all face, that if we keep moving forward, we will persevere.
Q: What are you working on now?
A: I continue working on my foundation with my lovely wife, Jane.
Q: Anything else we should know?
A: It's all in the book.
